I love being an Indian!

From today the preparations for Ganapti have started. All the Hustle and bustle, the décor, the food and the amazing family get-togethers all this has a great aura and charm to it. Though I love my own personal space and place but on such occasions once a year, you really can experience your Indian roots and tradition.
Our otherwise nuclear family becomes this whole huge family with different characters and natures who don’t generally meet a lot during the other time of the year. But during these festivals, its like we all were living in the same house happily forever. Also after the one and half day’s visarjan, we all chill together in the night talking ordering in a subways or pizza like a normal weekend family night.  Only in India, we have modernization and tradition where you can enjoy the best of both. A country where disco and aartis exist simultaneously, as well as pizzas and modak both equally yum!

This year, I finally managed to wear a sari and make modak simultaneously!! I wore an sari I got from Udaipur with an necklace set from the shops in the Udaipur City palace.
